Delhi Development Authority (DDA) conducted demolition drive in Mehrauli area in New Delhi on February 10. The DDA conducted demolition drive amid high police security to maintain law and order in the area. The demolition drive was against alleged encroachment in Mehrauli area. Earlier, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had given notice to people informing them about the demolition drive from February 10 to March 09. The notice stated that bulldozers would be used by DDA to demolish the jhuggis as the colony is unauthorised.
